C language was originally developed in 1972 by computer science scientist Dennis M. Ritchie. C is a general-purpose programming language.
As many programmers feel the same, C is very easy to learn, in fact, it would be the first language anyone gets introduced to while learning how to code. C language can handle low-level activities and works very efficient at kernel level programs.
C was originally written to develop an operating system called UNIX during the early evolution of computers. Almost most of the popular Linux systems were written and developed using C language.
There are some different applications where c language plays a vital role to develop that software such as
- To develop kernels
- To develop compilers
- Chip level programming
- Embedded systems
- Building database systems
- Create interpreters
